This Privacy Policy explains how Lusa Systems — a sole-proprietor IT consultancy operated by Darren Storey, contactable at hello@lusasystems.com — handles personal information collected through this website (lusasystems.com) and through the PIE Engine application that Lusa Systems operates against the Pinterest API.

1. Information collected by this website

This website is a static informational site. It does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. No personal data is collected from visitors. If you email hello@lusasystems.com we will receive your email address and the content of your message; this is used only to respond to your enquiry and is not shared.

2. The PIE Engine application

PIE Engine is an internal-use automation tool operated solely by Lusa Systems. It connects to Pinterest only via OAuth on accounts that Lusa Systems itself controls. PIE Engine does not ask other Pinterest users to authorise it, and it does not collect, store, or process any data belonging to third-party Pinterest users.

The application's use of the Pinterest API is limited to:

• Reading the list of boards on the connected (operator-owned) account.
• Creating boards on the connected account when a matching one does not exist.
• Uploading new pins (images, title, description, outbound link) to the connected account.
• Reading pin analytics for pins it itself created.

3. Data we store about the connected Pinterest account

• The OAuth access token and refresh token issued by Pinterest, stored encrypted at rest on local infrastructure.
• The Pinterest username and identifiers of boards we have created or used.
• The identifiers, titles, and analytics counts of pins we have created.

No data belonging to other Pinterest users is collected. We do not use Pinterest data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the operation of the connected account.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties. The only external services we transmit data to are: Pinterest (as part of the API calls described above) and Cloudflare (which hosts this website and routes email).

5. Data retention

OAuth tokens are retained for as long as the integration is active. Disconnecting the Pinterest integration causes the tokens to be deleted from our systems within 7 days. Pin and board metadata may be retained indefinitely for record-keeping but contains no third-party data.

6. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data from third parties, most data subject rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR apply only to the operator of Lusa Systems. If you believe we hold personal data about you and wish to access, correct, or delete it, contact hello@lusasystems.com.
